METHODS

Part of the challenge and reward of painting is working to solve the many logistical hurdles in trying to paint and sketch outside in the landscape. Trying to figure out how to carry supplies, transport wet paintings, finding locations to paint all are things that I continue to try and improve on and refine in order to make getting out to sketch easier and more relaxed, so that I can really enjoy the time outside actually painting and connecting with the landscape. This page shares some of the solutions that I have improvised or ideas about common problems or tasks, with the hope that they might assist others or add to their own methods of sketching.
